Friday, July 23th: Nautica Queen Cruise
This is a Fri. event this year. The price is $48
per person which includes two tickets for wine
tasting. This is a dinner/wine cruise which
provides dinner, wine tasting, and music
sponsored by WMJI. To make reservations,

800-837-0604, with the Akron Ski Club and
use my confirmation no. 9139-7. Boarding is
at 6:30 pm. with departure at 7:30 p.m. and
returning by 10:30 p.m. This is a fabulous
event with fun had by all who attend. If you are

Louis E. Mertic Jr., age 64,
passed away June 16, 2010.
He was born on November 8,
1945, in Barberton, to Louis
Edward and Helen (Kiminecz)
Mertic Sr. A 1963 graduate of
Norton High School, and Kent
State in 1970, Louis retired
from Babcock & Wilcox in
2008 with 36 years of service.
He was a member of St.
Matthew Lutheran Church,
Akron Ski Club, Boy Scouts of
America Troop 123,
Doylestown American Legion
Post 407, First Hungarian
Club, German Family Society,
and Kent State Alumni Blue &
Gold Club. Preceded in death
by his parents; he is survived
by his wife of thirty years,
Mary (Winkler); sons, John
(Kristy) Mertic of Doylestown,
David and Matthew, at home;
grand daughter, Mallory;
brother, Jeff (Peggy) Mertic of
Richfield; numerous family
and friends. Memorials may
be made to Boy Scouts of
America, Great Trail Council,
P.O. Box 68, Main St., Akron,
OH 44301.
